Tara grew up in a small town in the state of Minnesota, USA. Going to church, summer bible camp, and youth group activities was part of the family routine. At the age of 10, Tara started telling people she wanted to be a missionary when she grew up. Though she struggled through high school to remain firm in her faith, God never let her forget the decision she made when she was 10. After graduating from high school and realizing her plans to become a famous music engineer weren’t going to work out so well, Tara decided to give five months in YWAM a try. In the fall of 2006 Tara did her Discipleship Training School at YWAM Nashville. Since then she has completed several other YWAM training schools and served as full-time staff at YWAM Montana Lakeside for three years.

Tara traveled to Chile for the first time on a bible teaching outreach in 2010, and she knew she would be back one day. In March of 2014, Tara joined full-time staff with YWAM 5th Region in Chile. She has worked with the Foundations of Counseling Ministries school and is currently serving in the Urban Missions ministry with a heart to impact the cities of Valparaiso and Viña del Mar by investing in the lives of individuals – pointing them to Jesus, speaking truth into their lives and helping them develop their potential and shine as followers of Jesus who bring glory to his name.
